Unior again supports the competition Young mechanic of Slovenia 2024

Recognizing the importance of upgrading both the knowledge and skills of the young hopefuls who will one day use our tools, we are proud to be a sponsor of the Young Mechanic of Slovenia competition for the fourth consecutive year. This year, we participated in the event with 24 students from 12 Slovenian mechanic schools: Celje, Domžale, Koper, Ljubljana, Maribor, Nova Gorica, Novo mesto, Postojna, Škofja Loka, Trbovlje and Velenje. This time, the title of Young Mechanic of the Year went to a student from the Postojna School Centre.

Tobija Fabčič was awarded the flattering title of Young Mechanic of Slovenia 2024.

The competition itself is aimed at students in the second and third years of the secondary education program for car technicians and is intended to stimulate interest in education and careers in the car service industry, to foster interest in technical culture and, of course, in keeping with the spirit of competition, to highlight the students who demonstrate the highest level of knowledge acquired in the educational process at secondary level.

As every year, the students faced both the theoretical and the practical part. While the theoretical part is the result of their conscientiousness and knowledge, the practical part was helped by Unior hand tools. Here, the students had to change a tire, replace the air dryer cartridge on a Volvo truck and prepare and disconnect the Peugeot 2008 electric vehicle before servicing.

Among the latter, Tobija Fabčič, a student from the School Centre in Postojna, showed the most knowledge and practical skills and was awarded the flattering title of Young Mechanic of Slovenia 2024. Second and third place went to Nejc Furman from the Technical School Centre in Maribor and Matic Doberšek, representing the Celje School Centre, with a small difference in the final standings.

Students impressed by Unior hand tools demonstration.

As we do every year, we gave a comprehensive presentation of Unior hand tools to the students at the event itself. This is not only to showcase our range, but also to build confidence in the strength of the brand itself. Unior hand tools have a rich tradition and many of these students have encountered our tools not only at school, but also in their home workshops, with their fathers, grandfathers, ....:

These kinds of presentations are extremely important not only to support young hopefuls, but also to showcase and spread the goodwill of our brand. It is very important that students, who will soon embark on their careers, get to know a tool that will be a key part of their daily work. It is also important that they try it out and learn about all the advantages of a Slovenian product. This is why at Unior we are constantly striving to support young people, all with the aim of educating and strengthening their awareness that Unior is an important link that will accompany them on their future business journey.
