On 21 April 2010, the President of the Republic Dr Danilo Türk visited the Unior joint-stock company. On behalf of the entire management, the president of Unior's Management Board Gorazd Korošec introduced the company's operations, business plans and measures taken by Unior to alleviate the current economic situation and facilitate an effective response to operating conditions in the past period. A visit from the President of the RS was a great honour and source of pride to Unior. During the visit, the Management Board president Gorazd Korošec presented the President of the RS with an artistic forging depicting a smith as Unior's symbol, since Unior evolved from the smithery tradition of Zreče.
The conversation during the visit centred on the consequences of the economic and financial crisis. The President of the RS was also interested in the state of payments from customers in the current economic situation. The president of Unior's Management Board told him they have had no major problems with payment discipline, since our customers in the motor industry have been paying their dues on time and have moreover helped overcome the current economic situation with additional mitigating proposals. As a result, their business ties have been reinforced. The President of the RS showed interest in the future development and strategy of Unior.
The President of the RS made a tour of the Forge Programme smithy and then the Special Machines Programme manufacture, where he was acquainted with the high technology and high added value product ranges. The president of the state Dr Danilo Türk spoke about work in the company also with some of Unior's production workers. He wished much success to the entire company in dealing with competition and meeting business goals.
