On 28 October 2009, the Unior production plant Zreče obtained an environmental permit or IPPC permit (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control). The permit was obtained on the basis of the European Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Directive (96/91/ES) and the Decree on Activities and Installations Causing Large-Scale Environmental Pollution (Official Gazette of the RS, No. 97/04). The goal of the IPPC Directive is to gain integrated pollution prevention and control in all industrial sectors, which means the reduction of emissions into the air, water and soil, rational use of raw materials, the reduction of noise, increased energy efficiency…
Of course, this is only the latest significant landmark that substantially influences the implementation of measures for environmental protection in our society.
